Prodding and Prompting: Medication Reminders

I am sure I’ve written about medication reminders before, or have I? Only kidding! I pretty sure I haven’t written about medication reminders specifically. Have I? OK, so never mind all that, the point is that in today’s busy, hectic world it is so easy to lose track of even simple things putting urgent things, like tracking medications, dosages, and timing, even more at risk.

You are not the boss of me!

I have known many fiercely independent people in my life. Most of them women. There was my dear aunt who lived on an old farm house and at the age of 80 something, insisted on climbing ladders and pruning trees, much to the horror of her children.

Honey, have you seen my keys?

I know I put them on the kitchen table; I did, so if they are not there, someone must have moved them. I know I put them there, right there, on the kitchen table. I don’t have to tell you I was shocked when I eventually found them in a pocket, in my purse. But, I KNEW I had left them on the table! Hadn’t I? How did that happen? It is at times like these we all start to fear that the everyday memory issues we all have might really be the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease.
