The Catalyst for Care in Our Community
Your generosity will be put to work immediately for our neighbors.
The Lori Lajoie Charity Golf Tournament is Worcester Country Club's commitment to our community through your support of Seven Hills Foundation. Through 14 separate non-profits working together as Seven Hills, their Care for Our Community includes people with disabilities, autism and brain injury, vulnerable children and families, at-risk youth, and people struggling with mental illness.
Here in greater Worcester, the need for health care and social care continues to grow, and Seven Hills continues to respond where and when needed. Thanks to the 47-year tradition of giving from the Worcester Country Club through the Lori Lajoie Tournament. The Commitment to Care continues with your generosity being put to work immediately in our community.
The Tournament Tradition
In 1976, Leo Malbeouf, a member of the Worcester Country Club, approached then WCC Head Pro Ray Lajoie and his wife, Coco, to ascertain what the membership could do to assist them with the care of their daughter, Lori, who was intellectually disabled. They all agreed that the best way to help was to hold a members’ golf tournament at Worcester Country Club that would benefit the local organization (Seven Hills Foundation) helping the Lajoie’s care for their daughter. That year, the Annual Lori Lajoie Charity Golf Tournament was held and raised $6,500 and another tradition at Worcester Country Club was established. Learn More >
