Meet Elizabeth, an Occupational Therapist at Crotched Mountain School
This is the place where occupational therapy feels like it should.
Before coming to Crotched Mountain School, I was working in a public school setting. I love being an Occupational Therapist, but I was growing increasingly frustrated—huge caseloads, constant meetings, and a narrow focus on handwriting left me feeling disconnected from why I entered the field in the first place. I wanted to make a real impact, to work more closely with students, and to focus on functional, meaningful skills that would truly change lives.
Occupational Therapy is not just valued here—it’s celebrated. We’re a vital part of each student’s team, and our voices are heard. The clinical standards are high, the caseloads are small, and the team is incredibly supportive and collaborative. We’re empowered to provide the tools and support students need.
Our students often come to us with a history of difficulty and trauma, and helping them feel safe, seen, and ready to express who they truly are—that’s why I do this. It’s about connection. It’s about giving students confidence.
If you're looking for a place where your work matters—where students thrive because of what you do—this is the place.
