Support and Guidance When You Need it the Most
Helping parents provide their children with the consistency and structure they need during a difficult time.
Parents Apart is a two-day, five-hour Massachusetts Probate and Family Court-approved Parent Education Program specifically designed to assist parents in understanding the impact of divorce on children.
This Program Will:
- Provide an overview of children’s reactions to divorce
- Teach parents skills that help children cope
- Illustrate common pitfalls to avoid and reduce conflict
- Be led by two certified presenters
- Include written resources and a handbook
Studies have shown what a profound impact divorce can have on a child. That is why Family Services of Central Massachusetts believes that parents have a significant obligation and opportunity to help their children cope with the loss and changes that divorce brings on a family.
This course was not only designed to provide parents with the skills and tools necessary to lessen this impact, but to help children adjust to their new households and to promote co-parenting.
Enrollment is on a first come/first served basis and confirmed upon receipt of payment. Parents are required to attend separate sessions.
