The Basic Needs Assistance for Individuals and Families with Special Needs program at Seven Hills Rhode Island (SHRI) addresses food insecurity, basic needs, and the need for assistive technology for 200 individuals/families receiving services through SHRI each year. This program helps individuals/caregivers/families who are struggling to meet their basic needs purchase items such as food, diapers, cleaning supplies, and personal hygiene items. It also helps provide assistive technology such as communication devices, adaptive eating utensils, person transferring boards, and bathing devices to people with complex healthcare needs to improve their daily life skills and wellbeing. SHRI is grateful to Navigant Credit Union Charitable Foundation for their most recent grant of $10,000 which will support this program.
