Jackson Allred Offers Support to Seven Hills Pediatric Resident Living with Type 1 Diabetes

Jackson Allred visited Seven Hills Pediatric Center’s West Street residence to support a 12-year-old resident recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D). Having received the same diagnosis at around the same age, Jackson shared personal experiences and offered encouragement from someone who understands the challenges of living with the condition.

Taking time from his work and school schedule, Jackson spoke with residents about living a full and active life with T1D, then joined them for basketball and fun. Before leaving, he offered to remain a resource for the young resident whenever he needed someone who could relate.

The West Street team sincerely thanks Jackson for his kindness, time, and willingness to connect. Shared experience can provide reassurance and remind a young person that they have support.
