Find help establishing your family childcare business
Thanks to a grant from The Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts, we are developing a pilot program to offer support and solutions for aspiring childcare providers who are facing significant challenges trying to establish thriving family childcare businesses.
Our program, Family Childcare Success Project (FCSP), is being piloted to address significant barriers potential family childcare educators are experiencing. A space at Guild of St. Agnes in Worcester, MA, has been created for early educators in need of a temporary location to operate their businesses while looking for or creating adequate space to operate their family childcare business in their homes.
Having trouble operating your business in your current home?
The Family Childcare Success Project is trying new ways to help people who want to own a family childcare business but are having trouble operating their businesses in their current homes. We are offering a new opportunity called a Family Childcare Incubator. The Family Childcare Incubator will provide two classroom spaces for two educators to operate childcare businesses while they prepare their personal homes to later offer the service there.
Become a Resident Educator at our Family Childcare Incubator
Through our application process, two people will be selected to become Resident Educators. These educators will be able to use the Incubator space for up to two years, giving them time and support to resolve the issues preventing them from currently operating their family childcare business in their own home. This application is the first step in the process. After receipt, all applications will be reviewed, and applicants will be screened through a phone call. After screening, a pool of qualifying applicants will be invited to interview in person before the final selection is made.

We believe that finding accessible and culturally relevant childcare is not just a necessity, it is a lifeline for families striving to return to work and to build a better future. For families to find the care, there needs to be local, diverse, and culturally responsive options to choose from.
