MRC supporting Creative Minds

For the third year in a row, the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC) has awarded Seven Hills Family Services with a grant award of $28,000 to continue our Creative Minds: Community Connections for People with Brain Injury program. Partnering with the Fitchburg Art Museum and the Worcester Art Museum, Creative Minds gives people with acquired brain injuries an outlet to be creative, meet new people, and learn about critical community resources. Participants visit and tour the museums while also getting the chance to create art that will be displayed publicly at the museums. Other community-based activities will also take place at locations such as the Massachusetts Audubon’s Broad Meadow Brook, Worcester Bravehearts, Hanover Theatre, and the EcoTarium. The ultimate goal of the program is to reach people with acquired brain injury living in the community who are not yet connected to services.

We are so incredibly thankful to our friends at the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission for their continued support of our work and mission.
