Finding a suitable home for individuals of transitional age—youth and young adults who have aged out of their state's youth custody program—can be a complex and daunting task for everyone involved. Such was the case for four young men who suddenly found themselves without a place to live. Enter Seven Hills Rhode Island and 6 staff who made it their mission to provide housing for the gentlemen.

After approaching the state with an ambitious plan and negotiating the technical details, the team received approval to move forward—provided the transition would be completed within a very tight timeline. With no time to waste, the 6 staff set to work on their critical mission; ensure a comfortable home was available for the youths by August 2. After 5 months of persistence, teamwork, and good old-fashioned sweat equity, they team persevered. The well-being of four young men, once uncertain, had been secured.

The entire Seven Hills community would like to express its thanks to Noel Roy, Facilities Manager, Riley Raimond, Clinical Director, Russell Remillard, Facilities, Isaac Adusu, Residential Director, Michael Luo, Team Supervisor, and Bob Marcil, who came out of retirement to contribute his talents.

Thanks to the tenacious dedication and vision of 6 staff from Seven Hills Rhode Island, four gentlemen have a home.
