As of October 1, 2017, Children’s Friend, headquartered in Worcester, has officially become an Affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation. Children’s Friend provides services and supports for approximately 1000 children and their families throughout Central Massachusetts. Children’s Friend becomes Seven Hills Foundation’s twelfth affiliate.

This affiliation will enable both organizations to build stronger programs for children that utilize the strengths and resources of both Seven Hills Foundation and Children’s Friend. Each organization will be able to share and benefit from each other’s clinical and family support expertise.

Children’s Friend provides high-level professional mental health services, adoption and related services, grief support and early education and care for infants, toddlers, and preschool children.

"Children's Friend will continue to serve the Central Massachusetts community as it has for decades; offering care and comfort to children, adolescents and families" commented Dr. David Jordan, President of Seven Hills Foundation, “Children’s Friend has for many years served as the beacon for children’s programs and services. The partnership we now share together will only further that legacy.”

With its corporate office in Worcester, the Seven Hills Foundation currently offers program sites at 170 locations throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island employing nearly 3,800 professionals. Seven Hills Foundation offers a continuum of support and services to 28,000 children, adults and seniors with disabilities and other life challenges through its affiliate organizations that are part of the Foundation. Seven Hills Foundation stands as one of the most dynamic and comprehensive health and human services agencies in the country and is widely recognized as a premier provider of comprehensive supports for children and adults with significant life challenges.

“This connection with Seven Hills Foundation guarantees that Children’s Friend will have the financial stability, not only to continue providing our current services to children and families in central Massachusetts for years to come, but also to expand into other areas of need,” said Karen Ludington, former CEO of Children’s Friend, who will continue leading the organization as Vice President of the new Affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation.

“We are pleased to be associating with an organization as respected and focused on quality outcomes for children and adults with life challenges as is the Seven Hills Foundation. This is a win-win for our organization, clients, and staff,” stated Dr. Suzanne Weekes, who chaired the Children’s Friend Board of Directors during the affiliation process.
