[Family Services of Central Massachusetts](https://www.sevenhills.org/affiliates/family-services-of-central-massachusetts) would like to thank the [United Way of Central Massachusetts](https://unitedwaycm.org) for their continued support of the [Summer Literacy Initiative (SLI)](https://www.sevenhills.org/programs/center-for-childcare-careers) with their most recent grant of $40,000. Since 2010, the Summer Literacy Initiative has partnered with summer camp programs operating throughout Worcester, to integrate effective literacy learning strategies that prevent summer learning loss for children entering grades 1-4 each fall. In the Summer of 2022 SLI served 1295 children at 15 partner program sites. Thank you, United Way of Central MA, for partnering with us to ensure at-risk children in our community achieve grade level reading to prepare them for future academic success.
