Both natives of the San Francisco Bay area, Margaret “Polly” Traina and her late husband Richard Traina embraced Worcester as their own when Dick assumed the Presidency of Clark University in 1984. With a shared commitment to an exceptional education for every child no matter their circumstances, Polly and Dick were vital contributors to countless endeavors and organizations in the city of Worcester. YOU, Inc.’s connection with Polly began many years ago when she joined the agency’s Board of Directors and chaired our SkiFest fundraiser, among countless other agency activities. In 2010 the Polly and Dick Traina Fund for YOU, Inc. was established, further cementing this selfless couple’s impact on vulnerable children and families. We are grateful for the Traina Fund’s recent grant of $4,600 in support of our work, and for the enduring support of the Traina family.
