YOU, Inc., is grateful for a grant of $20,000 from the Reliant Foundation to support the HOPE Model, a YouthConnect program component which increases access to mental health support for low income youth. This collaboration between YouthConnect agencies and providers including the Boys and Girls Club, Worcester Youth Center, Girls Inc., Friendly House, and YOU, Inc. promotes mental health literacy, offers training around mental health issues and treatment strategies, and provides access to direct services that reach vulnerable young people “where they are” – rather than in a clinic that may not be perceived as teen friendly, or may be inaccessible due to insurance or transportation barriers.
