Gender Wellness Initiative provides vital resources and services for LGBTQ+ young people in Central MA

The Seven Hills Gender Wellness Initiative (GWI) is a group dedicated to creating programming to assist the community in increasing competency around the needs of LGBTQIA+ youth. The Gender Wellness Initiative offers several workshops and interactive presentations geared for various types of audiences including medical professionals, caregivers, youth, educators, and mental health providers. GWI also provides other resources to increase individuals’ understanding of gender identity, sexual orientation, and the legal process for name and gender marker changes.

This program is made possible in part by the following recent grants:

Hanover Insurance Group Foundation in the amount of $15,000

Seven Hills is grateful for a grant of $15,000 from the Hanover Insurance Group Foundation to support the  Gender Wellness Initiative. This grant helps to provide vital resources and services for LGBTQ+ young people in Central Massachusetts.

Greater Worcester Community Foundation

Our Gender Wellness Initiative received a $15,000 grant from the Greater Worcester Community Foundation, which will provide resources and services for LGBTQ+ young people in Central Massachusetts, including comprehensive behavioral health counseling for youth and families, training and technical assistance to schools and youth-serving organizations that increases their capacity to address the needs of LGBTQ+ youth, community-based support groups, and access to print and other supportive resources for both youth and caregivers.

United Way of Central Massachusetts for $7,500

Thank you to United Way of Central Massachusetts for a grant of $7,500 to support the Gender Wellness Initiative. This funding helps provide comprehensive behavioral health counseling for youth and families, training and technical assistance to schools and youth-serving organizations.
