[Children’s Friend](https://www.sevenhills.org/affiliates/childrens-friend) would like to thank the [United Way of Central Massachusetts](https://unitedwaycm.org) for their continued support, and recent grant of $20,000 for the [Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) program](https://www.sevenhills.org/programs/dbt). DBT views suicidal behavior as an individual’s attempt to solve a problem that they feel is otherwise unsolvable. With the goal of moving clients from crisis to stabilization, DBT helps clients understand the factors contributing to their suicidal and self-harming behaviors and helps them identify and use more adaptive problem-solving strategies. Thank you, United Way of Central Massachusetts, for partnering with us to support the most at-risk youth in our community.
