Children’s Friend is the grateful recipient of a $15,000 grant from the Greater Worcester Community Foundation’s Community Grant program to support its Gender Wellness Initiative. Children’s Friend will use these granted funds to provide counseling services through our outpatient mental health clinic; offer support groups and information to the families of transgender and gender non-conforming youth; and training to school personnel and health care providers on working with LGBTQ youth in a supportive and non-judgmental manner. Today the Seven Hills Pediatric Center in Groton kicked off the #ThisIsYourShot initiative here at Seven Hills with staff and residents
The Seven Hills Child & Family Behavioral Health center at 135 Gold Star Blvd. in Worcester is expected to open by March and become the main hub for the behavioral health clinical operations of YOU, Inc., Children’s Friend and Family Services of Central Massachusetts, three Seven Hills affiliates that have supported children and families in the region for decades.
Seven Hills Behavioral Health, an affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation, was recently awarded $5,000 from the Bristol County Savings Bank to provide food and basic need items to families in need. Granted funds from the Bristol County Savings Bank will assist us in stocking our food pantry and providing gift cards to grocery stores for families who need it most.
The Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts has awarded Seven Hills Family Services with a grant award of $49,620 from the Activation Fund which will be used to upgrade old technology in our conference room to support live video streaming for families who cannot attend the meetings in-person and video recording of the trainings to be posted on our website for future reference and to reach a wider audience.
