Seven Hills Family Services
Overview
Seven Hills Family Services provides a continuum of support to families who face significant challenges when
caring for loved ones with disabilities.
Families need and desire to have their loved ones participate
in organized activities outside of the home and learn skills to further enrich their lives and foster their independence. The social interaction they experience also plays an important role in the individual’s recognition of others’ needs, sharing, friendship, and acceptance.
Recognizing the extensive supports these families require and benefit from, Seven Hills Family Services offers a network of services that assist individuals with disabilities in achieving the highest quality of life and providing a sense of accomplishment, confidence, and involvement within the community. Adults can participate in the Adult Day Health,
Day Habilitation, and CareerSource programs, and can qualify for full residential support under the care of a Shared Living Provider. Respite Care accommodates both children and adults, and the Sports, Recreation, and Leisure Program provides both recreational and competitive activities for individuals with disabilities of all ages.
- Adult Day Health supports adults who require nursing care and training in daily living activities such as personal care and dining.
- Day Habilitation programs are provided in several community-based settings in Central Massachusetts and provide adults with functional life-skills training that maximizes their participation in the world around them.
- CareerSource provides job training, placement, and ongoing sub-contract work opportunities to adults living throughout greater Worcester County.
- Shared Living provides permanent residential care
with a Shared Living Provider who welcomes adults with developmental disabilities into their homes and lives.
- Overnight Respite Care is provided in respite houses or
in a family-based setting to adults with disabilities and their families for short-term, 24-hour care.
- Hourly Respite Care provides 1:1 or small group supervision for social and recreational community activities and is available for both children and adults.
- The Sports, Recreation & Leisure program provides a
wide range of recreational activities, competitive physical activities and sports that encourage teamwork, yet strengthen individual skills, coordination, and build confidence.
