Seven Hills Clinical Associates Seven Hills After School Program Every afternoon during the school year, Seven Hills Clinical Associates operates a student-centered after school program at the Carl Gordon Lodge in Worcester. Serving students with developmental disabilities, mental retardation, autism, and a wide range of special needs; Seven Hills After School Program collaborates with the Department of Mental Retardation and other agencies to offer individualized activity- based programs. The home of the Seven Hills After School Program is a spacious property, with large open interior spaces. The setting is conducive to gross motor games such as basketball and soccer and the beautiful natural setting lends itself to exploration. The building itself has individual classroom space, specialized training spaces, a game room, and plenty of space for group or individual relaxation. The Carl Gordon Lodge is located off Belmont Street in Worcester, and although easily accessible by public transportation, most students receive transportation from their school districts. The structured, activity-based program includes time spent at gross motor play, arts, crafts, games, cooking, team building, developing friendships, homework, skill development, and community outreach. The staff-to-student ratio is 1:3, and includes a Program Director and direct support staff. The program schedule allows for many community outings, using both public and private transportation. The Seven Hills After School Program operates from September through June and mirrors the school system regarding holidays and vacations. It is available from 2:45-6:00 p.m. For further information contact Dr. Katharine Cleary, Vice President, at 1.508.755.2340 x 258 or kcleary@sevenhills.org.
