Seaside Education Associates
Overview
The mission of Seaside Education Associates is to provide a wide range of support services to individuals with disabilities, family members, provider organizations and state agencies. These services include training and technical assistance in areas such as assistive technology, professional development, Internet operations, and quality enhancement, as well as grant writing and strategic planning. The overall goal for all of these activities is to enhance the quality of life of persons with disabilities and other life challenges throughout the Commonwealth.
Seaside Education Associates was founded in 1978 and operates a wide array of professional development and quality assurance projects for the Massachusetts Department of Mental Retardation and the U.S. Department of Education. Seaside Education Associates also provides consultation services to state agencies and non-profit organizations throughout Massachusetts. Seaside Education Associates is additionally responsible for information technology services, professional education and quality enhancement activities of the Foundation and its Affiliates.
Seaside Education Associates offers a variety of training and technical assistance options including:
- The Balanced Score Card (an agency-wide quality enhancement program)
- Assistive Technology (both home-based and computer-based)
- Individual Support Planning, including related data collection/progress reporting
- Human Rights Officer Training
- Mission and Values (customized to the policies of the specific agency)
- Home Modifications
- Information Technology
- Project Management for Internet Marketing & Web Site Design
- QUEST & CARF Certification
- Staff Development & Training
