What Is the Self Advocate Pasta Supper:
The Self Advocate Pasta supper will be happening again this year on April fourth. This event is a major fundraiser for Self Advocates at Seven Hills Foundation. The money will be used to help individuals who wish to attend Self-Advocate conferences and trainings to increase their Self Advocacy skills.
Who are Self Advocates?
- Self Advocates are individuals with developmental disabilities who are learning to speak for themselves and their respective needs.
- Self-Advocates support each other by meeting together to learn about community events and legislative issues.
- They are young adults and adults who want to become an integral part of the community in which they live.
Volunteers:
Volunteers are needed to work with Self Advocates from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm and will be asked to work for a one to two hour block. Volunteers are most needed to set up and bus tables. To volunteer please email Paula Leduc at PLeDuc@sevenhills.org
Donations:
We are seeking donations of food, drink, and paper goods. Donations are tax deductible and a receipt will be provided to donors. If you wish to donate money please send your check to:

Self Advocate groups are supported by Seven Hills Disability Resources & Advocacy. Currently, fifty individuals with disabilities meet bi-monthly to learn how to improve their advocacy skills. Meeting agendas are determined by the Self Advocates. Groups are limited to a maximum of 15 people per group, allowing many opportunities for self advocates to practice “speaking-out.”
