Public Affairs Press Release Seven Hills Foundation is Awarded “Two Year’s With Distinction” Certification May 2, 2005 - The Massachusetts Department of Mental Retardation has awarded Seven Hills Foundation the “Two Year’s with Distinction” certification for their Seven Hills Community Services and Seven Hills Family Services programs. Itis the highest rating that the State of Massachusetts DMR awards following their credentialing review. Chief state surveyor, Brenda Cole stated, “We’ve never seen an organization where everyone on your staff appeared to be so committed to the (individuals) you support-it was really remarkable!” QUEST, the Quality Enhancement Survey Tool, was established in 1994, and is used by DMR to measure the quality of life of individuals with disabilities being served by a human service agency. The tool has four areas and indications that it uses to assess the quality of service being conveyed. The areas are:
In all areas reviewed, Seven Hills Foundation and Affiliates, Seven Hills Community Services, and Seven Hills Family Services, were found to be exemplary. This is the second successive survey where Seven Hills Foundation has received DMR’s highest rating. The “Two Year’s with Distinction” certification follows closely on the heals of the National CARF re-accreditation for three years, which Seven Hills received in January of this year, the highest accomplishment in the human services arena awarded by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
