Seven Hills Clinical Associates Receives Department of
Education Temporary Approval for Seven Hills Academy

March 2006 – Seven Hills Clinical Associates, an Affiliate
of Seven Hills Foundation, has recently been awarded temporary approval for the Seven Hills Academy. The Seven Hills Academy, located in Devens, MA currently provides a
12-month, special education program to 30 students. This temporary approval is the last step prior to Full Approval as granted to entities that meet all application requirements.

The quality based standards, inherent to the application and approval process include:

• Demonstrated need for the program to exist,
• Well defined philosophy, goals and objectives,
• Well developed curriculum and trained staff,
• Validated relevant and challenging standards,
• Published objective guidelines and materials,
• Internal self-evaluation and ongoing peer review
  by practicing, experienced, trained educators,
• Appeals process, and
• Administrative excellence.

Meeting these standards and achieving Full Approval will translate into continued referrals from school districts, increased visibility for the quality of this education option, and the external review process from the Department of Education that ensures Seven Hills Academy is providing quality educational services to its students.
