Public Affairs Press Releases Rick Karbowski and Seven Hills Foundation Team Up to Help Our Troops August 2007, Worcester, MA: Long-time Worcester-area resident and Champions Tour member Rick Karbowski is teaming up with Seven Hills Foundation and Peter Jacobsen to develop a new charity golf outing to help our returning Veterans. The Rick Karbowski Charity Golf Tournament will benefit a new neurorehabilitation center to be located in the Worcester area designed specifically for Veterans with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and associated disabilities. This injury is caused by the many explosions our troops are exposed to on a daily basis while serving in the Iraq/Afghanistan conflicts. Read the complete press release. This new facility will be operated through a partnership between UMass Memorial Health Center and Seven Hills Foundation to provide the highest level of care possible to these heroes. The Rick Karbowski Charity Golf Tournament will be played on Monday, September 24, 2007 at Blackstone National Golf Club in Sutton, MA. The tournament will begin at 9:00am with a teaching clinic hosted by Rick and his friend, Peter Jacobsen. Peter is well known for his multiple PGA TOUR wins and is considered one of golf’s ambassadors because of his ability to connect with the fans. Following the clinic, players will tee off in a shotgun format at 10:00am. At the conclusion of the event, players will return for lunch, an awards ceremony, and a memorabilia auction that will include 2007 Senior PGA Championship flags signed by Gary Player and other Hall of Fame members.
