Milestones ULTIMATE Hot Dogs Grand Opening
On November 14th, Milestones ULTIMATE Hot Dogs Restaurant celebrated its Grand Opening with State Senator and Seven Hills Foundation Trustee Richard T. Moore in attendance. The event was held at the restaurant, located in Uxbridge, and was staffed by individuals with developmental disabilities who participate in the Seven Hills Family Service’s CareerSource program.
CareerSource assists individuals with developmental disabilities to prepare for, obtain, and maintain their highest level of community-based employment. Clients of CareerSource can participate in short-or long-term Facility-Based Employment and Integrated Work Sites which take place onsite at a business location. CareerSource provides services to nearly 200 individuals annually.
In addition to the Grand Opening, there was a contest for the “Ultimate Sauce” which will be served on all “Milestones ULTIMATE Hot Dogs.” Twelve entries for the sauce contest were submitted and judged by Seven Hills Foundation employees. The top three winners of that contest - Sharon Godin, Linda Cournoyer, and Jeannette Detiberus - traveled to Uxbridge for a final tasting, and Senator Richard T. Moore announced the winning sauce. Congratulations to Sharon Godin who won for her sauce, "Sharon's Extreme Cheese Sauce."
The event was a huge success and the restaurant sold out of all its hot dogs and pies!
Milestones ULTIMATE Hot Dogs Restaurant is located at 11 South Main Street, Uxbridge, and serves hot dogs, chili, nachos, baked beans, ice cream, and an assortment of pies from Joyce’s Pies and Bakery of Leominster. The hours of operation are 10-2 PM, Monday through Friday.
