Second Annual Dignity Dash

150 Runners Enjoy Perfect Autumn Day!

On Sunday, October 28th, the Seven Hills Foundation hosted its Second Annual Dignity Dash 5 K Run/Walk to benefit Seven Hills at Groton. The event was a great success with 150 people participating and enjoying a perfect, autumn day.

Ann Wirtanen from Groton won first place overall in the women’s category, repeating her performance for a second, consecutive win! Jenny Morlock took home second place and Karen McAuliffe placed third. The top three winners overall for the men were Gregory Hallerman for first, Tim Burke for second, and David Bearse for third. In the Tot Trot, Ian McGimpsey won first, Christopher Fuller won second, and Jocelyn Pratt won third. Congratulations to all!

After the Dash, participants tried their luck in the raffle to win some great Red Sox gear, just in time for their World Series win that evening. Blinkee the Clown, always a favorite at Groton, entertained the children.

Mark your calendars for October 26, 2008 for the Third Annual Dignity Dash.

Special thanks to our Presenting Sponsor, McMillin Construction, who not only sponsored the event, but is also the contractor for our beautiful new community. Thanks, also, to Gulf South Medical Supply, North Shore Pharmacy Services, Melvin Motor Sports, Moison Ace Hardware, and North Atlantic Medical Services. The proceeds from this event benefit the renovation and construction project at Seven Hills at Groton.
