Internships, Urban Youth & Volunteering
The goal of Seven Hills Foundation and Affiliates relative to Internships, Urban Youth, and Volunteer placement is to provide young people with an opportunity to gain important practical experience which will complement their education and hopefully lead to future employment within the field of Human Services, and possibly with Seven Hills Foundation. Goals of the individualized placements include:
- To promote a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and the many ways in which skilled staff contribute each day to enhance the lives of participants in Seven Hills Foundation and Affiliate programs and residential settings.
- To introduce young people to the myriad of opportunities for rewarding careers within the human service arena.
- To introduce young people to the mission, goals, and values of Seven Hills Foundation in particular.
Individual requests for opportunities to Intern, participate in the Urban Youth Job Corp, or volunteer, are considered on a case-by-case basis and are coordinated through the office of Human Resources. A comprehensive regular employee or volunteer application must be completed prior to any consideration for placement. Applications are available on the Human Resources Website.
