Children's Aid & Family Service Counseling Services Overview Children’s Aid & Family Service Counseling Services offer a continuum of support to families who deal with everyday issues that could potentially disrupt the successful life/work balance they are striving to achieve. Using the latest solution-oriented counseling techniques, or appropriate psychological treatment and medication management, CAFS clinicians help families cope with – or overcome – issues such as teenage anger, alcohol dependency, depression, and anxiety, and improve communication between couples and family members. CAFS Counseling Services offers expert guidance in the event of a divorce, providing mediation and educational programs that address the effects of divorce, its impact on children, and implement methods to improve the transition as a family experiences the stages of a separation or divorce and the life changes that occur. The Employee Assistance Program provides counseling services to employees who are dealing with personal issues that may be affecting work performance or causing additional stress in their work environment. Wellness and Stress Management seminars are also offered in the workplace as a benefit to employees in order to improve productivity and ensure a positive work experience.
