Children's Aid & Family Service Child Care Services Overview The focus of Children’s Aid & Family Service Child Care Services is to provide the most appropriate child care setting to benefit the whole family and support parents as they strive to achieve a highly functional life/work balance. To meet a variety of career, education, and lifestyle needs, Children’s Aid & Family Service offers two types of child care: Center-based Group Care and Home-based Family Day Care. The Children’s Aid & Family Service Child Care Center provides center-based group care for up to 84 children at 75 Day Street in Fitchburg, MA. The Center combines child care and education with an emphasis on social interaction and development between children and their peers through three individual age-appropriate programs: Toddler, 15 mos. to 2 yrs. 9 mos; Preschool, 2 yrs. 9 mos. to 4 years; and Pre-Kindergarten, 4 to 5 years. The Center is open all year round, from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm. Home-based Family Day Care provides child care and education to children in a nurturing, home-based setting. Providers offer care in their own homes to groups of up to ten children, ages six weeks to ten years. Each home-based setting is unique, reflecting the style and creativity of the individual provider. Family Day Care in each home is provided 52 weeks a year, from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm. The Children’s Aid & Family Service Family Day Care Specialists monitor each home-based setting to ensure the highest quality of care and satisfaction for both the parents and providers. For more information, please contact Susan Smith at 978-342-8971 or ssmith@sevenhills.org.
