Partners for Clean Air
Partners for Clean Air facilitates the coordination and collaboration of tobacco control efforts in South Coastal Massachusetts in order to change community norms regarding the acceptability of tobacco use as well as implement social marketing techniques to address tobacco use.
The Goals of Partners for Clean Air are to…
- Provide the community with the necessary resources to make decisions regarding tobacco use;
- Create opportunities for community involvement regarding the tobacco control effort;
- Foster new and enhance existing relationships between and among organizations and community residents concerned with tobacco use;
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of community education efforts.
What you can do:
- Advocate for tobacco control by writing to public officials, newspapers and businesses and asking them to promote policies that protect children's health;
- Participate in local tobacco free events and activities;
- Support local laws to protect your health and clean air;
- Attend public meetings and express your views;
- Encourage your workplace to adopt smoke-free policies;
- Voice your opinion in newspapers, radio and television;
- Support a friend by referring him or her to the Coalition for help.
