H.O.M.E. of H.O.P.E. for Women Outreach Center

H.O.M.E. of H.O.P.E. for Women Outreach Center promotes dignity and respect for women from all walks of life. We believe that all people are capable of change provided that they have the tools and resources necessary.  Our goal is to assist women with identifying the tools they need.  We do this through prompt, professional, and culturally competent services that help women and their children break the cycle of oppression whether it be from poverty, substance abuse, HIV/AIDS/STD's or domestic violence.

Mission

  • To provide a safe haven to women of all cultures in the Greater New Bedford Area.
  • To empower and educate women to make better choices and promote initiative for leadership.
  • To educate and promote a healthier lifestyle in regards to HIV/AIDS, other sexually transmitted diseases, substance abuse and domestic violence.

We offer a non-judgmental haven for women at risk to feel safe in sharing, coping, healing and making a change from the impacts and risks of oppression such as HIV/AIDS/STD's, domestic violence, substance abuse and other forms of violence against women and children.  By providing women with a space to come and share feelings, concerns and issues we establish a foundation to build a trusting relationship for increasingly intensive strategies to work towards a safe community and leadership building.
