Child & Family ServicesSeven Hills Rhode Island (SHRI) Family Services offers applied behavior analysis and other services for children with autism and other developmental disabilities. We are committed to providing the highest quality of services, built on a foundation of respect for those we support. Seven Hills Rhode Island Child and Family Services supports more than 800 kids in Rhode Island, offering a variety of programs for children with developmental disabilities and behavioral supports including Home-Based Therapeutic Services, Personal Assistance Services and Supports and Respite Services to eligible children from 3 to 21 years of age. Seven Hills Rhode Island Early Intervention program promotes the growth and development of children from birth to 3 years of age. Services are provided in the child’s home or other age-appropriate community setting. Ongoing parent participation is required to maximize what is learned during treatment. HBTS services are offered to enable a child to participate in his or her family and community more by helping to improve communication, behavioral, psychosocial and developmental skills. PASS can help improve a child’s ability to accomplish activities of daily life, improve safety skills, and participate in social situations. Services are provided in the home or community setting by a direct support worker. Families have a choice in who is hired to work with their child and how services are delivered. Parents/ guardians can find their own direct support worker with assistance from a certified PASS agency or can use a free online resource www.rewardingwork.org. Families are responsible for the training and supervision of their direct support worker.
