Adult Residential Program

Seven Hills Rhode Island (SHRI), fomerly The Homestead Group (THG), offers an array of residential options for adults with developmental disabilities. Whether an individual is in one of our communities with 24-hour supports, respite program, shared living care, an apartment, or receives supports in his/her family home, each person will be a part his/her community. We work closely with individuals and their families to create a safe and nurturing living environment. Our objective is to provide the minimum level of support in order for each individual to live a rich, diverse life in their community. For those individuals who live with their families, our trained staff will assist individuals to connect with their communities and offer respite for the family. We support many individuals to live independently in their own homes and apartments. Supports are provided to assist a person to learn skills related to activities of daily living (ADLs), such as personal grooming and cleanliness, household chores, shopping for groceries, clothing and/or personal items, the preparation and eating of food, managing money and the social skills necessary to help an individual live a meaningful life as independently as possible and be a part of the community.
