Adult Day Health Care

Seven Hills Rhode Island Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) is a licensed community-based day program providing a variety of health, therapeutic, and social services to those who cannot be alone or at risk of being placed in a nursing home. The ADHC is licensed by the Rhode Island Department of Health.

The primary objectives of the program are to: Restore or maintain optimal capacity for self-care to elderly persons or adults with disabilities; and provide a structured, individualized program to meet the physical and/or cognitive health needs of seniors and adults with disabilities to avoid nursing home placement.

The program stresses partnership with the participant, the family, the physician, and the community in working towards maintaining personal independence. The ADHC program consists of group and individual activities including:  music, current events, exercise classes, arts and crafts, gardening and computer classes as well as, personal care assistance and transportation. Other available services include physical, occupational, speech and massage therapy. The ADHC program is certified through  the federal child and adult food program to provide nutritious, balanced meals and snacks to all program participants at no cost.
