Ventilator Supports

Seven Hills Pediatric Center’s Ventilator Dependent Services Program is designed to care for children and young adult with ventilators. This program is designed for long term, short term and respite stays with approval from the Department of Public Health. The medical and nursing staff at Seven Hills Pediatric Center has over 30 years of experience in this field and are trained on the newest state-of- the art ventilators. Our rooms are equipped with inline suction, oxygen and compressed air. The environment is quiet and peaceful as a result of the in-house monitoring system which transmits alarms directly to the nurses caring for the resident. Residents, families, and staff participate in interdisciplinary care planning meetings, which allow us to provide each resident with the finest quality of life possible. Residents with mechanical support participate in all programs, including school, activities, and trips into the community with our Activities Department.Seven Hills Pediatric Center collaborates with pulmonologists at local hospitals including UMASS Memorial and Children’s Hospital Boston.
