In recognition and celebration for Children’s Mental Health Week (May 1st-May 7th), The Child and Adolescent Neurodevelopment Initiative (CANDI) is hosting two informative and free events on May 3rd and May 5th. Join former Boston Red Sox All Star Curt Schilling and wife Shonda on May 3rd, 2011 as they share Shonda’s book, The Best Kind of Different.

Providers Information Fair
A Providers Information Fair “Shine a Light on Autism” will be held on April 1, 2011 from 5-6pm in the UMASS Medical School Library. Immediately following the fair will be a viewing of the Temple Grandin HBO Movie. Come celebrate Autism Awareness Month and gather with others to view the story of Temple Grandin, a woman with incredible abilities who has Asperger’s Disorder and help “Shine A Light on Autism”!
- 5:00 – 6:00 pm Providers Fair in the UMASS Medical School Lobby.
- 6:00 – 7:30 pm “Temple Grandin” Movie, Amphitheater 1
- 7:30 “Shine a Light on Autism” display on the UMASS Medical School Building
- Light refreshments will be provided.
